Born in 1994 in Hyderabad, a historical city of Sindh. Abida graduated in Fine Art with a Distinction in Miniature Painting from the Centre of Excellence in Art and Design (CEAD), Mehran University, Jamshoro in 2017. Dahri has got an exceptional energy, employs a very experimental yet sensitive, minimal and perfectionist approach to her work. She has done various group shows in Pakistan in a year of 2018 right after her graduation including, ‘BULB’, A Group Exhibition of 13 fresh graduates curated by Muhammad Zeeshan at Sanat Initiative Gallery, Karachi, A ﬁve person show titled Recurring Fragments curated by Irfan Gul Dahri and Art for Artist, ‘Qutub Rind & Contemporaries’ at O Art Space Gallery Lahore, “Baad e Saba” Season 2 An Annual Exhibition of Artists from Sindh at Clifton Art Gallery Karachi, The Annual Emerging Artist Show curated by MyArtWorld Gallery Islamabad, International Watercolor Biennale “Pearls of Peace” Season 2 by IWS- Pakistan at Centre of Excellence in Art and Design (CEAD) Jamshoro 2018, shows her commitment to her explicit art practice. Abida began 2019 showcasing her work for the Exhibition at the World Bank Islamabad curated by Zara Sajid, Eclectic Mix curated Adeel Uz Zafar at Sanat Initiative Gallery, Rythyms of Recurrence curated by Nurayah Nabi Shiekh at KOEL Gallery, Naya Pakistan at Sanat Initiative Gallery Karachi, and Pakistan at 100, Art Exhibition at The World Bank Islamabad. She has also been one of selected artists for StudioBQ 3rd Artist Residency Program 2019, Lahore and displayed the work in the group show titled ‘YADDO’ at Taseer Art Gallery, Lahore. Abida is a Visiting Faculty Member at Fine Art Department, Centre of Excellence in Arts and Design (CEAD), Mehran University, Jamshoro. Dahri lives and works in Hyderabad, Pakistan.
