Anum Jamal feels that repetitive schedules, rules, laws and regulations, jobs, and security measures dog our everyday lives and the uncertain political situation makes us yearn for the mundane. Her research questions the notions of tedium and monotony, and whether they are a luxury or a struggle. The work is based on the physiognomic profiles of the strangers whom she comes across regularly, how they impact the architecture of our lives and how each of these strangers has something unique that needs to be highlighted.
