Mostly know for his acclaimed writing practice Anwar Maqsood is also a painter with a practice going back many years. His first profession was painting. Driven by his keen observation of surroundings, Maqsood made the most effective use of canvas and colorful palette to express himself. His first show was in 1958 and he has showcased regularly since then. His work is part of the National Art Gallery situated in Islamabad.
