Samar Zia is an independent/freelance writer and works with various organisations including Dawn News, ArtNow, The Karachi Collective and Youlin magazine. She started writing for The Herald in 2015 and has been writing ever since.
Zia mostly critiques contemporary art portraying the evolution of the artist’s oeuvre, if at all. Where comparisons can be made to genres and movements, they will be made.
Her personal goal is to write about how women manage to make Art despite motherhood, work and domestic responsibilities.
