VM Art Gallery was instrumental in making KAD possible. The archive of newspapers covering art activities in the country maintained at the Art Resource Centre located within the premises of the VM Art Gallery was amongst the key sources used by the internees for data collection. The gallery also hosted our interns as they researched contemporary artists and their practices.

Munawar Ali Syed is an active artist and art educator with several national and international shows to his credit. He is the main force behind ‘The Great Wall of Truck Art Project’ at the New Islamabad Airport executed in collaboration with Wajid Ali.
