The gallery has launched the careers of many well-known artists such as Summaya Durrani, Quddus Mirza, Samina Mansuri, Imran Qureshi, Aisha Khalid, Khadim Ali and Naiza Khan. When contemporary miniature art was frowned upon in orthodox circles, Chawkandi Art played a role in popularising contemporary miniature, by showcasing works of Imran Qureshi, Aisha Khalid, Nusra Latif Qureshi, Talha Rathore and Sumera Tazeen.
The gallery exclusively represented the works of Zahoorul Akhlaq and Shahid Sajjad. The former being the most influential artist of our time who pioneered the configuration of miniature traditions with indigenous art and initiated a dialogue between contemporary and traditional art. Chawkandi Art continues to be a reliable dealer of authentic works of masters such as Chughtai, Sadequain, Ahmed Pervaiz, Bashir Mirza, Colin David and Ismail Gulgee.
It provides advice to buyers and collectors.
