Agha Jandan developed an interest in using the blackboard as a medium, ever-since he started teaching. He paints blackboards, in which he portrays the phenomenon that happens in classrooms as well as in society. He finds it a very expressive medium as he uses it to highlight the disparity between what is taught to us and what exists in the society.
His works convey certain messages; messages of Iqbal, messages of our roots, culture and religion.
