Fauzia Khan is a multidimensional artist with a range of talents. She graduated from Government Girls College Lahore in 1981 and started painting in 1979. She is an interior decorator, architect, fashion designer, and painter. She is a landscape painter and works on calligraphy as well. Her paintings portray the cultural, heritage, and religious roots of people.
She has traveled extensively internationally, and her travels have given her many memories reflected in her paintings. She is one of the pioneers in using glass and rocks in their original form as a medium for painting. Fauzia is the first artist who live performed her painting according to lyrics accompanied by Sufi mystic music of the Late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Abida Parveen.
She is also committed to her cause of making society and the environment a better place to live. Fauzia is working on environment protection with the Environment Department of Sindh, Pakistan, and is a volunteer member of the Human Development Foundation. Apart from her artistic pursuits, Fauzia has also worked in the media. She provided the initial concept, scripted, hosted, interviewed artists, and edited the very first series of the program entirely based on Art & Artists (painters) and their painting styles in the history of Pakistani media aired on Vibe TV. She has also written articles for various magazines in print media.
