Habib Ahmed belongs to a family of truck artists. His father Bashir Ahmed and elder brother Tauqir Ahmed better known as ‘Munshi’ both pursued the same profession. Following in their footsteps he mastered the art working on big trawlers and tankers. However, as the business of the big vehicles began to grow cold he decided to shift his talent to other projects. The shift from trawlers to miniature rickshaws was not too much of a challenge for him. He feels that new market for smaller items has opened up new vistas for truck artists like him. Though his father and brother have restricted themselves to bigger vehicles, Habib feels that working on smaller items does not compromise his stature as a truck artist.
Habib has worked on many projects including Khanji Restaurant in near Tauheed Commercial and Chai Point restaurant in Bukhari Commercial, both in DHA, Karachi. Habib currently works with truck artists Shehzad Hussain.
