S.M.Raza is a Visual Artist, Muralist and illustrator. He received his Bachelor in Fine Arts degree from the Visual Studies Department at Karachi University. His work has been featured in local and international art exhibitions. He has been a part of an Artist’s residency at Gyeonggi Creation Center, South Korea (2012) and Vasl Artists Residency, Lahore, Pakistan (2011). His work has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, such as “Pipe Dream” at Art Chowk Gallery in 2013 and Lucid Dreams at Canvas Art Gallery Karachi in 2016. He has been a Senior Concept Artist at Waadi Animations and on other art projects.
His recent body of works is partially inspired by his teenage year’s memories of his old house and surroundings, days when he had all the time in the world and no worries at all.
