Being a multi-disciplinary artist, Iqbal produces work that is grounded to the local context. She graduated as a printmaker, but has worked extensively as a sculptor, using wood and metal. Her forte is wood carvings that are cast in different metals to which additional, found, metal objects are attached. Over the years she has collaborated with other artists in doing joint projects and performances. She has also delved into designing furniture and interiors for various architects.
