Being a native of Thar, Shahid’s work evokes the beauty found in the desert and its life. His paintings also capture the daily life of the inmates, highlighting through his works their misery and the hardship of desert livelihood. His work also documents the fauna and flora of the Thar.
Shahid holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro and has been teaching art in the Khan e Farang since seven years.
