Shahzad Zar was a self-taught artist until he approached Syed Ali Imam and started studying with one of the pioneers of modern art in Pakistan. Zar’s modern calligraphies, brightly colored explorations of the female form, and works in multiple media are part of some of the most important collections of South Asian art in the world.
